Steve is joining up with Sunderland based singer-songwriter Paul Liddell for a series of dates in April and early May.
The gigs will go out under the umbrella of 'The Lo-Showbiz Tour' and will feature solo performances by both artists, collaborations and previews of new material. Each gig promises to be unique and spontaneous, with possible guests and not without an element of fun.
An acoustic limited edition souvenir CDR has been recorded and will be on sale from gigs which commence in the north east of England with THE SMUGGLERS, Sunderland (SAT 1st @ 8.30pm), THE TYNE, Newcastle (SUN 2nd @ 2pm - sfternoon show) and WASHINGTON ARTS CENTRE, Washington (MON 3rd @ 8.30pm) before moving on to Leeds, Bath, Beverley and elsewhere. The tour also feature 4 scottish dates.

It was a memorable night at Newcastle City Hall, where the Steve Daggett band joined a string of artists from stage and screen to pay tribute to Alan Hull on the 10th anniversary of his death.
Steve and the band played 'Malvinas Melody', Alan's powerful commentary on the Falklands War. The song originally appeared on Alan's solo album 'On the Other Side', and was banned by the BBC on release in 1983. The band consisted of:

The new album 'Songs in a Carrier Bag' was officially released with a launch gig by the Steve Daggett Trio at The Tyne Theatre Bistro, Westgate Road, Newcastle upon Tyne on Saturday, October 29th.1st - Secure on-line ordering now available.
The CD has 12 tracks written by Steve and features trio members Rachael Rhoades on violin/accordion/piano and Michael Bailey on bass guitar. Additional musicians are Phil Armstrong on electric guitar/mandolin, Stephen Robson on drums and Tony Davis on keyboards.

'The Story of the Hoppings' is a journey through the world-famous funfair that has been held anually on Newcastle's Town Moor for over 120 years. Narrated by Brendan Healy, it features never-seen-before footage and photographs, and interviews with the people who make it happen.
The soundtrack captures the spirit of every era in fair's history, featuring original music co-written by Steve and Phil Armstrong, along with versions of one or two songs that you might know already.
The music was recorded at Cluny Studios in Newcastle, and performed by:
